Batyrbek Alimkhanuly was born in Karaganda region, Kazakhstan, in 1996 and graduated from the boarding-school for gifted children “Murager”. Batyrbek is an alumnus of Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program and studied as a senior student in New Ulm High School, Minnesota; during his school years organized social project “Green city – green future” which won a grant from U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan. Batyrbek is a currently a B.Eng. student in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nazarbayev University, and vice-chair of NU IEEE Student Branch. His research interests in Power Engineering include wireless power transfer (WPT), electrical machines, energy storage systems (ESS) and high-frequency power electronics.
